[jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-1148) log4j.plugin.packages no taken into account

Pollentier created LOG4J2-1148:
----------------------------------

Summary: log4j.plugin.packages no taken into account
                 Key: LOG4J2-1148
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-1148
             Project: Log4j 2
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Plugins
            Reporter: Pollentier
            Priority: Minor

The documentation states the PluginManager looks at packages specified by system property "{{log4j.plugin.packages}}" (e.g. see https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/plugins.html)

This issue [LOG4J2-745] mentions the introduction of the system property, and in its related commits on 2014-09-14, the above documentation was added to the sources. However, the source code (PluginManager.java, nor any other source) seems to take the property into account. (I can't find it anywhere in the code, and the corresponding patch code attached to that issue doesn't seem to be merged in?).
