Hi Jason,
I didn't add that request but would be quite happy to put together such
an article. If you don't have anyone else lined up for the task then
give me a shout.

Cheers,
Mike

I see that some folks have added to the article list which is great. I
added some comments to some of the entries for those folks who added
them. In addition to other articles you can also make comments about the
articles i.e. things you would like to see specifically.

Also, I'm not sure who added the "How to develop a J2EE project based on
Maven" but if that person, or anyone else, is interested in writing that
article let me know because I don't do J2EE so wouldn't be qualified to
write that article. Contact me privately if you're interested in writing
that article.

"out of the box" support for deploying to a tomcat webapps area

Posted by "Glenn R. Golden" <gg...@umich.edu>.
New to Maven - so far so *cool*!

I get the idea about each project "installing" the artifact from the
project in the repo.

Once I war:install or jar:install a bunch of projects into the local
repo, now I need to have a project which moves war files from the repo.
into a deployment area, such as tomcat/webapps, and jar files from the
repo. to tomcat/shared/lib.

Is there any support for this built in to Maven? How might I do this?

Thanks.

- Glenn
