Re: Problem with addressbook sample, please help!!! (Solved)
Hi,
I have atlast solved the problem I had and I thought I just should write
down what I have done in case someone else has the same problem and is
following this thread.
I had the following problem when I was running the addressbook example:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
at org.apache.soap.util.xml.QName.<init>(QName.java:80)
at org.apache.soap.util.xml.QName.matches(QName.java:146)
at org.apache.soap.Envelope.unmarshall(Envelope.java:233)
at org.apache.soap.rpc.Call.invoke(Call.java:228)
at samples.addressbook.GetAddress.main(GetAddress.java:125)E
I was using Apache 3.1.14 and Tomcat 3.2.1.(I tried different versions of
xerces, but nothing worked)
So I went back to Apache 3.1.12 and Tomcat 3.1.1. The Jar-files I'm using
are(they are in the same order in my classpath):
C:\xerces-1_2_3\xerces.jar; (v 1.2.3)
C:\soap-2_0\lib\soap.jar; (the latest nightly build)
C:\soap-2_0\lib\mail.jar; (from javamail-1_2.zip)
C:\soap-2_0\lib\activation.jar; (from jaf1_0_1.zip)
C:\jdk1.3\lib\tools.jar;
C:\soap-2_0\
I also changed the "set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;%cp%" to "set
CLASSPATH=%cp%;%CLASSPATH%" in tomcat.bat.
In addition I added the line
"include C:/jakarta-tomcat/conf/my-tomcat-apache.conf"
in the bottom of http.conf for Apache. And downloaded the
ApacheModuleJServ.dll for Tomcat 3.1.1 to the directory module for Apache.
This made it work for me!
Thanks to everyone who has given me help!!!
Cheers Oyvind :o)
