[jira] Created: (GERONIMO-536) New mail GBean
New mail GBean
--------------
Key: GERONIMO-536
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-536
Project: Apache Geronimo
Type: Improvement
Components: mail
Reporter: Alan Cabrera
Assigned to: Alan Cabrera
The current GBean just takes a single properties object for configuration.
We should extend the mail GBean to have exposed attributes for common properties (host, username, ...) so they can be managed more easily. Ideally we should also have some knowledge of the available transports and allow those to be configured.

Not sure if it's related to this fix but on my machine (Debian Sid,
Java 1.4.2_06) the mail tests are failing. Is there some
configuration that I need to do?
