when restarting the tomcat5 the following errors appear
find: warning: you have specified the -mindepth option after a non-option
argument -type, but options are not positional (-mindepth affects tests
specified before it as well as those specified after it). Please specify
options before other arguments.

the problem is in the format of the find command in the bin/relink script - the
original script is :
find /var/lib/tomcat5/webapps -type d -mindepth 1 -maxdepth 2
where as it should be :
find /var/lib/tomcat5/webapps -mindepth 1 -maxdepth 2 -type d

The bin/relink script is not part of the Tomcat distribution. It may have been
developed locally or by a third party packager. I suggest you contact the
provider of the script.
