Joshua, can you reproduce from cvs HEAD?
We fixed a very bad looping bug that affected only Directory ~ and
DirectoryMatch problems (the same bug as 'apache loses trailing character
from the filename elements') - in fact each trip through a regex directory
chopped one more character from that directories' name.
Let us know if this can be reproduced on 2.0.44-dev or 2.1.0-dev (code is
identical.)
