   Thank you so much for the further reviews everyone.
   
   I looked into the Flink side of predicate push down, and if memory serves me there are no changes required. At the moment, I am occupied with some work-related things, but I will return to this PR asap. I spoke to @rdblue about it already as he has most recently reviewed but I've been fortunate to have several reviewers so I wanted to update you.
   
   I will address the feedback and make any necessary updates / rebase to current master asap. I should hopefully be able to return to this PR pretty soon but as I mentioned I have to deal with some work things. Thanks for your understanding. Please reach out if this becomes blocking or more urgent for anybody's needs and I will do my best to accommodate that :)
