Description:
On startup an error notification is displayed. "Unexpected Exception, Priority: silent, Category: Error, Show and report Problem to Netbeans Team, Window must not be zero.
Netbeans 10.
java version "10.0.1" 2018-04-17
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.3 (build 10.0.1+10)
If Starting from the command line I see:
scott@scott-Qosmio-X70-A ~/Netbeans-10.0/bin $ ./netbeans
WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred
WARNING: Illegal reflective access by org.netbeans.core.windows.view.ui.MainWindow (jar:[file:/home/scott/Netbeans-10.0/platform/modules/org-netbeans-core-windows.jar!/|file:///home/scott/Netbeans-10.0/platform/modules/org-netbeans-core-windows.jar!/]) to field sun.awt.X11.XToolkit.awtAppClassName
WARNING: Please consider reporting this to the maintainers of org.netbeans.core.windows.view.ui.MainWindow
WARNING: Use --illegal-access=warn to enable warnings of further illegal reflective access operations
WARNING: All illegal access operations will be denied in a future release
The IDE at this point is useless, I can edit files but cannot access any menu item either through the mouse of hot keys.
I do not see a reported exception on the command line?
If I restart it sometimes starts without the error, sometimes.
the only way to shut down the editor is by killing the java process.
