New developer proposition

Hello,

I would like to join the Maven team and help you fixing bugs in the project.
I'm Maven user for over a year and I have organized many big projects
using the tool.
I am "maven expert" in company I am working in.
Maven is a great software and i would like to add my work to it.

I submitted two jira issues with patches attached (they have not been
yet applied):
        http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-2871
        http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SUREFIRE-293

I would be grateful for propositions of project part to work on and
for proposition of intermediate tasks and bugs to correct. I wish fixing
them will
teach me the Maven sourcecode construction.

I'm a student of Warsaw University and my CV is here:
http://students.mimuw.edu.pl/~pt214569/Tabor_Piotr-CV-eng.pdf

Thanks,

Piotr Tabor

More issues that can be fixed (I can provide assistance):

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWAR-91
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWAR-72

I'd like your opinion for the following:

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWAR-76
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWAR-70

Yes, of course. I didn't want to be "nominated". I know the ASF
development and management model.

I mean I would like to introduce myself to the community, and ask for
some kind of tutor or
just goals to realize. And I think I have found it and Stephane Nicoll
will help me with the WAR plugin.

Thanks,

If you want to be part of the team then you supply patches, and work
one or more of us to get them applied. They should have lots of tests
if you want them to be applied in short order and you can't expect to
be nominated for a few patches. Lots of people submit patches.
Generally if you have shown a sustained effort over a period of time
one of us will recognize that and nominate you. People don't
generally nominate themselves or ask for access. If they do it
generally results in a response like this. The bar is high.

That's great, keep sending us patches and we go from there.

You can do that without being a committer and this is really how it
works. We don't give access to people because they ask. We give it to
them because they have shown a sustained effort to contribute to this
project and as I said the bar is high and it's a lot of work. The
enthusiasm is appreciated, and don't give up but it takes a bit of
time to get nominated for commit access.

Thanks,

Jason.
