Please take ANT's stack trace when it happens and attach it here. 
I usually use StackTrace tool from
http://tmitevski.users.mcs2.netarray.com/stacktrace/app/launch.jnlp - Ctrl-Break
some times is not working. Please also check that you have enough memory for ANT
to run.
