design doc program

What are we using for design docs? Argo? Umbrello?

And what format are they to be presented in? xmi? image files? RUP-like
architectural description documents?

I like poseidon myself...it has a community edition which is good if you
have a machine with a bit of grunt.

So far we're just using the Wiki and javadoc :). By all means use any
tool you like to make any design documents you wish. So long as the
output can be easily viewable on the website - I'd say go for it :)
