Cleaning up ext_sources/

Hi,

I was reminded by posts in another thread that we still have the
category-B tarballs in SVN. I have created bug 121191 [1] for their
removal. Please see that issue for a complete list of files.

I checked that
1. all of the files that are to be removed are present on apache-extras,
2. the main/external_deps.lst file in our current source release has
references to apache-extras for all the files that are to be removed.

If anybody knows a reason not to delete the category-B tarballs from
SVN, please speak up, otherwise I will remove them at the end of the week.

Best regards,
Andre

Certainly this is true. But then this is an open source project.

FWIW, I think the load for source tarballs is much less, and likely
to be manageable, than the interest for windows binaries.

Pedro.

I thought about that, too, and I think we should.

As far as I know codespot.com, on which ooo-extras.apache-extras
resides, is a Google service. I don't know how much their infra people
like the idea.

One thing to think about is if we should remove the category A tarballs too.
At least when updating boost I decided not to upload it because it's
rather big. Plus I think infra would appreciate us using mirrors for that.

Pedro.
