SSL Handshake Failed

I am getting an SSL Handshake Failed error when i take the .cert fiel using
getClass().getResourceAsStream("bogus_mina_tls.cert");
I have 'bogus_mina_tls.cert' file under the class path.
This error occours when client tries to login.

It works fine if I use new FileInputStream("src/bogus_mina_tls.cert") from
a standalone class.

Client: Smack.

Please help.
