Standard Portlet Api

Hi,

I was looking over the proposed Portlet Api and I think it looks 
pretty good. One thing that I did not see in it was support for 
authorization, i.e. role based access. Is this to be incorporated into
the api at some point in time or is the theory to leave that up to
the portlet container at which point portlet developers have to role
there own auth code.
