Fixed in [7273a972|https://github.com/apache/calcite/commit/7273a972e4cc514702f4797bd57ab8af929bc726] and also on the 'site' branch.
I used Beam's .htaccess file and customized a little.
Now, if you go to http://calcite.apache.org it will redirect to https://calcite.apache.org. And similarly for any other file on the site.

> Per [email thread 'Redirecting to https'|https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/3a76df309d01eddacd6abcb47cdd036f32718a5c1f28c7226547c872@%3Cdev.calcite.apache.org%3E], the solution is to add an {{.htaccess}} file.
