Just noticed that the gpg verification instructions are incomplete.
gpg --verify poi-X.Y.Z.jar.asc
should be
gpg --verify poi-X.Y.Z.jar.asc poi-X.Y.Z.jar
This is because of an unfortunate design issue with gpg, see:
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57103#c1
It might be better to link to the instructions at
http://www.apache.org/info/verification.html
instead
