Can not reproduce.
1. Tools - Options... - OpenOffice - Paths - Paths used by OpenOffice -
Templates - Edit... - Add... - Select path - Select - OK - OK
2. Create a template document (.ott file) and save in path defined above.
3. Welcome screen - Templates... - Templates - My Templates - template from
previous step is available.
