Disabling public NIC of Virtual Router

Hi,

I am trying to disable the public NIC of virtual router from cloud-early-config file using command ifdown eth*/ ifconfig eth* down. But it doesn't go to down state.

From the router console, the command works and state goes to down state.

With the same command from cloud-early-config, I can able to bring down the guest NIC as well as control NIC.

Is there a different way to make the public NIC down?

Thanks,
Nitin
