statup.bat execute

as it is possible to execute a file bat I am trying to take tomcat with these lines and it does not work?


    <exec executable="cmd.exe" output="log.txt" dir="c:/Archivos de programa/Apache Software Foundation/Tomcat 5.0/bin" os="Windows XP">        
        <arg line="startup.bat"/>
