Query regarding contribution to Mahout...

Hi,

We are a couple of students from IIT Madras wanting to develop a
parallelized version of k-means++ algorithm using Hadoop...
We wanted to find out if anybody else are contributing towards the same
effort in mahout... How do we confirm this?
Not sure which mailing list we have to pose this question to.. Pls
suggest.. Sorry for spamming...

Hey Ashika,

Try looking at the last few months of the mailing list for this topic.

The short answer is that something very similar to k-means++ is in the
process of being committed right now.
