[jira] Commented: (INFRA-1622) Bad link on https://issues.apache.org/

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1622?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12613550#action_12613550 ]

Gavin commented on INFRA-1622:
------------------------------

I hate leaving issues floating, so here I am again :)

Ok, so currently we are redirecting to alpha.html - actually a good choice as it happens, waybackmachine shows me [1] that the new alpha.html is in fact the new version of resources.html. The content and layout is too similar to warrant the resurrection of resources.html.

[1] - http://web.archive.org/web/20061102022051/http://projects.apache.org/indexes/resources.html

So choices as far as I can see :-

1. Alter issues.apache.org to point to alpha.html (then remove temp fixes)
2. Alter issues.apache.org to point somewhere else - perhaps
    http://projects.apache.org/indexes/quick.html is a better choice ?

Happy to do the deed, would like your opinion Sebb.

> The first sentence on https://issues.apache.org/ links to a file that is zero bytes in size, http://projects.apache.org/indexes/resources.html. There is also another zero size file in the same location, http://projects.apache.org/indexes/project.html.
> The link should probably go to: http://projects.apache.org/indexes/alpha.html unless the resources.html files is modified to have some content.
