[jira] Commented: (JAMES-140) Mailets that block mail should always display the criteria that caused rejection

The following comment has been added to this issue:

       Body:
There is no defined configuration for Matchers in James v2, and thus no good way to configure them. Furthermore, the Mailet API has no concept of log level.

This should be addressed in James v3.

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: JAMES-140
Summary: Mailets that block mail should always display the criteria that caused rejection
       Type: Bug

     Status: Open

    Project: James
 Components:
             Mailet API
   Versions:
             2.1

   Assignee: James Developers Mailing List
   Reporter: Gili

    Created: Sun, 2 Nov 2003 9:59 PM
    Updated: Tue, 13 Apr 2004 1:31 PM
Environment: Operating System: All
Platform: All

Description:
When RemoteAddrNotInNetwork rejects mail it should display the IP that was
rejected (even in INFO mode). The same is true for SenderInFakeDomain and all
other standard mailets. This uses a little more logging space but saves a lot of
time diagnosing problems. We should have to switch into DEBUG mode for this kind
of information. For example, I expect one line output from INFO logging and
multiline output for DEBUG logging.
