There are some recent refactors in yarn, especially in the GPU/FPGA field (YARN-9087, YARN-9134, YARN-9133, YARN-9123, YARN-9100, YARN-9100). The code quality and the lack of logging makes it harder to fix tests. This issue aims to add further logging to the testcases and do some minor cleanups, similarly those example jiras. 

(Further subtasks can be added later to separate the test classes.)
