Resolution: Information Provided
The Developer Guide and Contribute Guide do not include specific references to Java 8. The Migration Guidance notes that Java 8 is the minimum supported version for NiFi 1.0.0. With current GitHub automated builds regularly running both Java 8 and 11, and the age of this particular issue, it seems that additional developer-focused documentation updates may not be necessary for Java 11.
When Java 11 becomes the minimum required version, documentation updates should be handled in a separate issue as opposed to a sub-task of implementing compatibility with Java 11.
