   cc @prashantwason @rmpifer  Here is the refactoring. At a high level, I introduced two interfaces. and cleaned up some wiring. 
   
   @rmpifer  For the metadata table and timeline merging stuff,  you can probably add another implementation of `HoodieTableMetadata` that will wrap `FSBackedTableMetadata` and return the partition and file lists.
