[GitHub] [jena-site] OyvindLGjesdal opened a new pull request #100: Replace Download mirrors section with CDN section

OyvindLGjesdal opened a new pull request #100:
URL: https://github.com/apache/jena-site/pull/100

   I was looking at dead links for jena-site (https://github.com/OyvindLGjesdal/jena-site/issues/1), when I noticed there has been a change in apache for mirror sites, which also requires a rewrite of of the mirror section in the download page.

   I looked at the https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.html which behaves oddly after the mirror page were removed and https://apache.org/history/mirror-history.html which made me think that the mirrors were closed, and is what I tried to write out the suggested text from.

   I see I removed too much, since the download mirrors section is working (https://jena.apache.org/download/index#download-mirrors) with cdn + downloads.apache.org as backup.

   Mainly the only page which is now gone is the complete list of mirrors.

   I'm not sure what the status is currently but last I heard, the INFRA request was to stay with the CGI scripts so that they can switch projects. I don't know if the previous mirrors are still active.

   Links above this section use `[preferred]` in the __index.md and the SHA512/PGP files are direct to an Apache Foundation server.

   ```
   <a href="[preferred]jena/source/jena-4.4.0-source-release.zip">
   ```

   The section provides a way to switch. The CDN isn't foundation-owned. As a principle, the foundation avoids depending on solely on an external service. At the moment, there are two offered CDN and an backup.

   Did the suggested text come via another project?
