FYA. Should we try to organize a Stratos hackthon or meetup or something
there? Would be a good chance to hook up with other cloudy projects too.

Agree, I think we can go ahead and submit both. There is a training

I’m going to to draft up an overview talk this week. Explore the features of Allura, show off the tools, and show how people can get started using Allura. Also give some updates on our community and where people can get in touch. If we can get an overview talk accepted, Dave mentioned it would be a great tie in to more specific/technical talks like how to create a plugin / getting started contributing to Allura.
We should also consider a BoF session, the one we did that year with Rich as OSCON was really great.

It seems a good idea to me, would be great to connect with Apache

Well I was initially thinking of just a general overview of what Allura is and
what it does. But if we have multiple submissions then it might be better to
get more specific. I don't know what exactly though. I don't want to get too
specific - I think your series of posts about developing a plugin could make a
great talk in a couple years when Allura has more users, but right now I'm
afraid if we try any talks that are that specific we'd have very few people show up.
Idea: maybe one talk about Allura's history and overview. And one about getting
started setting up Allura and configuring it (focus on all the admin options
available through web, not code or ini files).

Curious what your topic will be (if you've decided)?

I'm planning on submitting a talk for ApacheCon. Deadline is Feb 1 - this
Saturday. Anyone else want to submit a talk? We could coordinate to try to
have complementary topics and possibly have multiple Allura talks at Apache Con :)
