[users@httpd] logging into stderr using mod_cgid

Hello!

I have submitted a bug report about this 1-2 years ago and
decided to check this issue today in otder to switch to
worker mpm.

The problem is that when using cgid and print to stderr,
say, like this

fprintf(stderr,"Hello error log!");

the messages goes into main server log, not into virtual server
log.

When using just mod_cgi the messages goes, as it should,
into virtual host error log.

The problem is that if server runs tons of virtual hosts (each
is a separate client) none of virtual hosts users can debug their
cgi programs.

Any idea on this issue?

Artem

Well, i guess so, because first bug report on this matter were submitted
1 or 2 years ago. I was one of the report submitters too.

I wonder if fixing this bug requires too much effort for the project. Is
loggin into right log too much out of current architecture of apache
or just out of interest of developers?

Any hope to get fix for this some time soon?

The project is aware of this "deficiency" in the cgid daemon.

Who do i contact to get this issue solved? I did not see any contact email
in the source and i am too lame to understand cgid sources.

It happends the same when using Catalyst framework with mod_perl.

Catalyst's debug messages go to the virtualhost log file, but the errors go
to the main server's log file.
