[jira] Commented: (FELIX-2156) Remove Import-Service header in
MANIFEST
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-2156?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12840235#action_12840235 ]
Richard S. Hall commented on FELIX-2156:
----------------------------------------
Reiterate comment from mailing list:
Import-Service/Export-Service are actually deprecated, but there is no reason we cannot use them and adopt the extended common OSGi header syntax for them. If bindex ignores this, then I would say it is a bug in bindex.
> Remove Import-Service header in MANIFEST

>
> Key: FELIX-2156
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-2156
> Project: Felix
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Event Admin
> Reporter: Arjun Panday
> Priority: Minor
>
> The Import-Service header would be quite useful if it could support attributes (like Import-Package does)
> Unfortunately it is not possible to specify an optional Import-Service, therefore import of optional services should not appear at all in the manifest.
> As it is, it breaks my OBR resolution.
