Wrong SMAP mappings with body dependent tags
Summary: Wrong SMAP mappings with body dependent tags
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.0.27
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Critical
Priority: Other
Component: Jasper
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: martin.grebac@sun.com
The actual debugger bug description is here:
http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=45360
See attached web app - important files are mostly these:
WebApplication3/web/index.jsp and
WebApplication3/build/generated/src/org/apache/jsp/index_jsp.class.smap
WebApplication3/build/generated/src/org/apache/jsp/index_jsp.java
I think that issue 29638
(http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29638) mentions the same.
Mapping part of the smap for index.jsp looks like this:
1,4:57
4:81,29
4,7:93
10,3:63
I believe the second mapping shouldn't be there, because then it causes debugger
to completely skip the contents of the tag body and also breakpoints in those
areas are not reflected. This is quite serious issue, as it makes debugging of
jsps with tags (like from Jstl and Struts, e.g.) completely unusable.
