user's timezone

Hello all,

    Is there any way to retrieve the time-zone of the current user?
The request object of coarse has the Locale object, but I don't see
anything in it that will lead me to the user's time-zone.  The country
and language are there, but that obviously is not enough.

Please tell me that I am over-looking something!
