Moonshine IDE 1.2.1 Windows release

Hey all,

I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that we here at Prominic
have just deployed the 1.2.1 version of Moonshine for Windows. Try it out,
run a FlexJS project! For those of you unfamiliar with the Moonshine IDE,
visit www.moonshine-ide.com, where you can also find the source and
executables for MacOS & Windows. Please let us know what you think, we
would love to have some additional feedback from the Flex community.

Thank you,

Walker Dalton

I've the same behavour with Windows 7, 64bit. Running the .exe has no
effect. I also can't see any "moonshine" processes in the task manager.

Thanks,
Olaf

HI,

I took a look at the page and it looks good [1], but it would be nice it was more in line with Apache trademark policy. [2][3]

For instance:
- The project name is “Apache Flex” and “Apache Flex JS” not “Flex” or “Flex JS”
- A link back to the home page of our project would be nice
- Having an attribution of the Apache trademarks in the footer of the page

If you have any questions on the policy or what needs to change just ask and we’ll help.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi,

I think I disabled all antivirus and smart screen and ran it again from
the command prompt. The first time, it paused for several seconds, then
went back to the command prompt. The second it immediately went back to
the command prompt. No popups or anything like that. Is moonshine.exe an
installer or the actual IDE? Are you using a 3rd party installer tool or
something you created yourself?

Thanks,
-Alex

Hi Alex, it's a new thing we recently noticed in Windows 10 the installer
initially blocked by an warning screen - SmartScreen. It's more like the
Avast! problem recently seen by Andrew (in this thread) which judge an
executable/installer by it's known reputation. Since Moonshine IDE is fairly
new to the block it may take some time to acquire that reputation. Although
this warning came by an Windows popup and you seen no activity after when
you tried to run that, that is a little oddity. But I want to ensure that
Moonshine IDE is properly signed by it's signer authority.

Initial things you may want to check:
- Check if your anti-virus program blocks running it
- Disable Windows 10 SmartScreen, here's how you can do it -
http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-disable-windows-smartscreen-in-windows-10/

Thanks.

If you really need the screen shot I could try to download it again, but I
would really prefer not to until you have investigated it. Have you tried
downloading it yourself onto a computer with a standard anti-virus system
running?

I downloaded this, and Avast! virus scan blocked it because of something
called DRep.

Re: Moonshine IDE 1.2.1 Windows release

Posted by Nemi <ne...@gmail.com>.
Is this some old version source code link, that is visible in console:
http://code.google.com/p/moonshineproject/
?

Notification about new version would be great. At least, in Help->About to
see latest version.

I had v1.0.1 (I think) installed, and installing the last one, there was
certificate issue. I had to uninstall, to install new version. Try to not
change code certificates often.

After I created NewFlexDesktopProject, and hit CTRL+ENTER, and Error poped:
"Invalid SDK - Please configure a Flex SDK instead." Although I set to use
4.6.0
