[jira] [Created] (PROTON-1894) expose the position within current
backing array of a composite buffer
Robbie Gemmell created PROTON-1894:
--------------------------------------
Summary: expose the position within current backing array of a composite buffer
Key: PROTON-1894
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-1894
Project: Qpid Proton
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: proton-j
Reporter: Robbie Gemmell
Assignee: Robbie Gemmell
Fix For: proton-j-0.28.0
The CompositeReadableBuffer offers access to its backing arrays to allow for certain operations to be undertaken efficiently. However, unless there is only a single backing array it isn't always possible to determine positioning within the current backing array, though the buffer itself obviously knows this. It should be exposed.
