[jira] [Commented] (ROL-1939) Need to know the Roller version and
installation file for Jboss 4
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ROL-1939?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13541504#comment-13541504 ]
Glen Mazza commented on ROL-1939:
---------------------------------
JBoss 4.0 uses Tomcat 5.5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JBoss#Versions) which uses version 2.4 of the servlet spec (http://tomcat.apache.org/whichversion.html). Roller 4.0 uses 2.4 (http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/roller/branches/roller_4.0/apps/weblogger/web/WEB-INF/web.xml?view=co), which makes this an option for you. However, due to this security issue: rollerweblogger.org/project/entry/roller_501_security_fix using versions prior to 5.0.1 wouldn't be recommended. You may need to evaluate other software blogging tools instead.

> Hi,
> I am new to Roller blogging, I am currently working on Jboss 4.0 and Apache 2.2 and I have a constrain for updating both app and web server from the client side. Could you please assist me in selecting the right version of Roller for the above configuration, as blogging will increase the customer interaction with the web.
> I tried running the war file provided by Roller, but it requires version 2.5 of the J2EE Web module specification for the war file to execute.
