[Fwd: JavaWorld's Editors' Choice Awards]

I thought I forwarded this before..

Congratulations to the Xalan-J and Xerces-J teams on this nomination.

Are any of the Xalan-J and Xerce-J committers going to be present at
JavaOne? I'd like to hook Jennifer up with the right people. Please
let me know if you are going to be at JavaOne and can do this.

Thanks,

Ted

All right, I've finally got around this and put a web page with pictures
at: http://xml.apache.org/~lehors/JavaWorldAward/

Taking pictures of this glass thing wasn't exactly obvious, but I'm
quite happy with the result. I hope you'll like it too.

If somebody more savvy than me could integrate this with our actual
website that'd be great.

WE WON!! :-) (was Re: [Fwd: JavaWorld's Editors' Choice Awards])

Posted by Arnaud Le Hors <le...@us.ibm.com>.
Hi everybody,

As scheduled I attended last night the ceremony and to my great pleasure
received the award for Best Java XML Tool for Xerces-j 1.4.4. One judge
said: "Xerces is a solid, dependable parser froma quality open source
team."

Kudos to everybody!!!

I have a certificate and a nice glass trophy. Rather than tearing the
certificate apart and breaking the trophy into small pieces to send to
everybody I will scan the certificate and take a picture of the trophy
that I will post online. :-)
Stay tuned...

Given that I'm in the Bay Area, it's easy for me to go.
I'll be happy to represent the Xerces project.

It would be best if someone who has contributed directly
to the project to represent Xerces-J at JavaWorld. Is there
anyone from the Toronto team that would be available? I will
go if someone pays all my expenses... ;)

Hi

Jennifer Orr asked me if Jason Hunter could represent the Xerces-J team
at Javaworld -- Jason is an ASF member and familiar to the JavaWorld
folks. Is there anyone who wants to represent us at Javaworld?
Jennifer would like to know in short order so they can paper mail an
invitation.
