We need a new benchmark tool set (for instance, by using tsung for HTTP API and basho_bench for Erlang one) to measure CouchDB performance. The main goal should not be to provide nicer values for marketing reports, but to track the current state of things and notice performance improvements / degradations just in time. Also it could serve as a part of stress/load test suite.
