[jira] Created: (MEJB-31) Bad checksums
Bad checksums
-------------
Key: MEJB-31
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MEJB-31
Project: Maven 2.x Ejb Plugin
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 2.1
Environment: maven 2.0.8
Reporter: David Smiley
I get the following problems reported in the terminal:
[INFO] artifact org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-ejb-plugin: checking for updates from central
[WARNING] *** CHECKSUM FAILED - Checksum failed on download: local = '945c366751abc850425db64506aab1c167dbe67e'; remote = '85e8ee42414da55109de2c37fe723317f70784d9' - RETRYING
[WARNING] *** CHECKSUM FAILED - Checksum failed on download: local = '945c366751abc850425db64506aab1c167dbe67e'; remote = '85e8ee42414da55109de2c37fe723317f70784d9' - IGNORING
Downloading: http://repo1.maven.org/aven2/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-ejb-plugin/2.1/maven-ejb-plugin-2.1.pom
3K downloaded
Downloading: http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-ejb-plugin/2.1/maven-ejb-plugin-2.1.jar
11K downloaded
For me it ultimately downloaded the artifacts anyway and never complained again. For a co-worker who is trying to set up m2, he needs to have lax checksums on all the time.
This is obviously very disconcerting.

[jira] Closed: (MEV-575) Bad checksums
Posted by "John Casey (JIRA)" <ji...@codehaus.org>.

John Casey closed MEV-575.
--------------------------
Assignee: John Casey (was: Jason van Zyl)
Resolution: Fixed
I just ran a test using Maven 2.0.9 and strict checksum adherence, after removing org/apache/maven/plugins/maven-ejb-plugin from my local repository, and didn't encounter an error or warning.
I'm assuming this is fixed; if not, please reopen.
