   1. in selectdb/je pom.xml  apache license has been declared;
   2. in maven centrol, oracle's je has a apache license, https://search.maven.org/artifact/com.sleepycat/je/18.3.12/jar
   3. i agree with you, the best way is to report this bug to oracle je's developer, do you fond any way to contact with them?
