Um. Given XSP is an apache project, can't we just use

  http://apache.org/xsp/esql

or whatever?

No idea... Its just an idea I've been thinking about. Maybe xsp.org is
available, or taglib.org or something :-)

what would be a good URI for implementation-independent logicsheets?

Right. Thats pretty much what we have specced out here, along with an
option for arbitrary headers. We should de-cocoon the namespace if we can
though.

Maybe, wish I had time to build apps with this stuff :-)

we've already got a sendmail logicsheet over in cocoon-land. it's verra
simple:

xmlns:sendmail="http://apache.org/cocoon/sendmail/v1"

<sendmail:send-mail>
  <sendmail:from>...</sendmail:from>
  <sendmail:to>...</sendmail:to>
  <sendmail:subject>...</sendmail:subject>
  <sendmail:body>...</sendmail:body>
  <sendmail:smtphost>...</sendmail:smtphost>
</sendmail:send-mail>

if smtphost is omitted, defaults to localhost. there's also a logicsheet
for reading mail - for funsies more than anything else, though a webmail
system built on top of xsp might be fun.

Its a quiet list - XSP is now considered pretty stable. It seems some
people think this list is for XSP developers, which isn't the case, its
for the developers of XSP. So once we had the initial flurry of posts
sorting out the spec things have quietened down a fair bit.

I suggest we work here on building a set of core taglibs and making them
work across XSP implementations. Currently we have SQL and ESQL working
the same (or mostly the same) across implementations, but I'd like to see
more, such as sendmail, exceptions, filesys, etc...

Feel free to start :-)
