You didn't search the mailing list. :-)


You need the meta-data patches/branch for that.

the branch; see

patches against 1.2.0rc2 (which apply with a small fuzz also against the
released version).


Or - depending on what you want to do - for simple versioning of "opaque" 
files (ie. not program sources, but programs, machine installations, 
versioning of /etc and so on) fsvs might be better suited (fsvs.tigris.org).
