build number

What is the general approach for using Maven to create a build sequence number?

I would like to be able to track a build and relate it to its SCM revision number (e.g. subversion or accurev)

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

I just did this the other day. I started to use buildnumber-maven-plugin
. It integrates with your SCM and has some flexibility.
