    A minor suggestion: **isRegistrySyncNeeded** is only used here and three lines below. So possible simplification: Rename it to **isRegistrySyncWithRemoteNeeded**, and remove the first parameter.  Then __inside__ this method perform the checks for **hasRegistry** and extract **getRegistryVersion** from the class member **remoteFunctionRegistry** .
