BATIK and PDAs/pocketPcs

hello,
I´d like to develop a Java application for PDAs/pocket pcs. The application
will have to deal with svg. My app will have a svg-viewer with zoom, and it
will have to handle some events on the svg and on some elements outside de
svg viewer.
I´ve no doubt that Batik is a very suitable toolkit if you want to use svg.
My PDA is supposed to support J2SE, but I´m not sure if the performance
would be good enough. Has anyone tried Batik with a PDA/pocket pc? Did it
work properly?
thanks in advance,
James
