Resolution: Fixed
AbstractService has been split out into two... the SwitchUserServiceAware interface (which is incompatible with the constraints of being a domain object) is no longer implemented, instead that is implemented by a new subtype AbstractServiceSusa.
Fixtures that subclass from AbstractService can now be instantiated using container.newTransientInstance(MyFixture.class), eg to be called from within a demo service.
