Enhancement for exec

           Summary: Enhancement for exec
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.3
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: falcony@gmx.net

Dear component owner,

I'm missing the handy option waitfor="false"/fork="true" for the ant core task
exec. It is possible to fork java processes but not so for executables. I would
like to have an option for exec to be able to fork the process to execute the
given executable. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about it.
Regards,
Falcony
