Problems with layouts

           Summary: Problems with layouts
           Product: Jetspeed
           Version: 1.3a3-dev / CVS
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Layout
        AssignedTo: jetspeed-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: dreed10@neo.rr.com

nightly build as of 6/26
Tomcat 4.0.4
JDK 1.4.0

I have been noticing several problems with layouts. Try this scenario.

1) login as admin
2) customize the content pane
3) change the layout from single column to two col (50/50)
4) click save and apply

The resulting two col layout is not 50/50. The right portlet is at least 30%
wider the the left. Next try this scenario.

5) customize the content pane again
6) add a new portlet
7) change the layout to three col (33/33/33) ensure that you have a portlet in
each column
8) click save and apply

The resulting three col layout is not 33/33/33. It's more like 33/50/25 with a
horizontal scroll bar because the web page is much wider than the screen. Next
try this scenario.

9) customize the content pane again
10) change the layout back to two col (50/50)

The cusomize view now shows no portlets and clicking on Save and Apply also
shows no portlets.
