attribute sorting

Hi all,

I have a problem with XML using the DOM parser,I have 2 applications one
which converts ascii files to xml and the other which reads Xml and vice
versa.
Now the problem is when i create the DOM all the attributes for the element
get automatically sorted,so on the other end of my application i have to
search thro the xml doc for the attributes in the correct order.
Now is there a way in which i can prevent sorting of the attributes.
Also i am using the dom parser ,would it be advisable to go in for JDom from
the performance point of view,my files to be converted can vary from 5 kb
to 1 mb.
