SSL negotiation failed; unknown protocol
Hi,
I setup subversion server using apache on fedora. All
http-based local and remote accesses to the
repositories, using browser or tortoisesvn, are
working fine. When I enabled SSL based access to the
repositories; it is working fine if I test locally
using
svn list https://www.myserver.com/repository
or
lynx https://www.myserver.com/repository
I am using self-signed certificate.
So far, I have enabled sever authentication only and
shall enable client authentication in future. But the
problem is I am unable to access the repository
remotely via https protocol (using a browser or
tortoisesvn). I get the page cannot be displayed
error message while accessing the repository using the
browser. On the other hand, I get the following error
message in tortoisesvn:
PROPFIND request failed on /repository; SSL
negotiation failed; unknown protocol (
https://www.myserver.com).
I saw some other people posted the same question on
the internet but either there is no response or
responses to the question are not helpful. Parts from
my ssl.conf and httpd.conf setting are given below.
I am using subversion 1.3.0. Could you please give me
some hints about how to fix the problem? Thanks in
advance.
Suraiya
