Hi all,

I just wanted to let folks know that Alan and I are working on building the
snickers runtime and the build time stub compiler.  Alan is working on the
compiler and I'm handling the BER runtime.  We intend to meet somewhere in
the middle.

The runtime piece is coming along nicely with parts of the BER decoder
already incorporated into Eve.  It is being used now to prevent blocking
with the snacc codecs.

The goal perhaps even before the compiler is fully enabled is to move
completely off of snacc within a month or two.
