(IRC conversation) 0.12.0 version?

From IRC today (times are US/Pacific):

brianm has since logged off.

Hi Adam,

Actually there is further context.

I could cut/paste any IRC quote, and it would be hard to decipher
what it meant without context.

The context you provided was a subject line stating:

(IRC Conversation) - indicating it wasn't on list
0.12.0 version - indicating there was a 0.12.0 version
that was being discussed in IRC.

At least that's the way I took it.

Given that I haven't seen any of these types of threads from you
before (aka IRC: some random subject, and then a paste from IRC),
I'm wondering what the point of this was?

What were you trying to point out?

Cheers,
Chris

That's a verbatim quote from IRC, so there isn't any further context. I
figured it was someone asking for help, so I passed it on.

brianm in #mesos is Brian McCallister (~brianm@apache/committer/brianm
according to /who).

Hi Vinod,

Thanks, OK false alarm then ;)

Adam: please try and quality quotes taken from IRC before simply
pasting them to the list.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Not sure what tag was being referred to in the IRC conversation.

I created a 0.12.0 in the svn repo by mistake and since have deleted it.
Looks like git apache mirror doesn't pick up svn branch/tag deletions
correctly, as reported by Ben Hindman in an earlier email.

Regarding, release conversation on IRC, I'm not sure there were any
committers/ppmc involved (or I'm mistaken since I don't know who BrianM is).

Hi Guys,

One more question -- why is conversation related to releases happening in
IRC?

It's fine to have real time conversations there, so long as all
information is
flushed back to *this* list, and so long as *all decisions happen on this
list*.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Guys,

Why is there a tag for 0.12.0, when we are still voting on 0.11.0?

Cheers,
Chris
